Whats for Dinner Tonight

This is what I am making for dinner tonight.  This recipe came in a Kroger Mailer I received last week and a lot of these items are on sale this week. Plus the flyer came with 4 coupons to use toward the ingredients :)  This is one of the big reasons for keeping your information up to date with your local stores so that you don’t miss out on the savings.

(you can click on the image to enlarge or print this recipe for yourself and I would like to again give Kroger the credit for the recipe below)

The picture suggests mac & cheese as a side but since there is already plenty of cheese in the mini meatloaves I am going to opt to serve these with a salad (which I received a coupon for in the same mailer), mashed potatoes, and some frozen green beans. I am also going to change the sauce on top from Ketchup to 8 oz. of tomato sauce and will also add a tsp. of Worcestershire sauce in it with the brown sugar.

The recipe suggests 6 servings but if you have growing boys(a man) like I do, it will feed all of us but I doubt we will have many leftovers.  The total for the meal comes just under $8 :)

See the chart below for the cost break down for most of the ingredients needed.
