WSET13 Reports that 4 Food Lion Locations will Be Closing In our Area

There is a short article I found on the WSET.com/ABC13 website this afternoon pertaining to the recent announcement from Food Lion that they will be closing over 100 stores.

The article includes which ones are scheduled to close.

“Food Lions slated to close include the ones on Bedford Avenue in Lynchburg, Franklin Road in Roanoke, Peppers Ferry Road in Roanoke and Route 4 in Appomattox.”

 I am sorry to see them go just like I was when they closed the Kroger on Waterlick Rd. off of Timberlake Rd. in Lynchburg.  I can imagine that this will affect a lot of people that rely on the convenience of having a Food Lion close to them.
